Cables.  Cables for microphones, speakers, monitors, amplifiers, USB codecs – WHATEVER you have in your studio……

I can’t stress this enough:

Invest in good, high quality cables!

Plus, don’t pinch or bend them, and know which ones go where.

All too often someone will ask me to look into finding a hiss or buzz or why their mic or studio monitors aren’t working at all.   Almost 90% of the time – it has something to do with a bad cable.  Cheap cables are the number 1 culprit, followed by pinched or cut cables from sloppy studios.   Make sure everything is tied up neatly with wire ties, run nicely and uniformly – and if you can, spring for the good stuff.
